Buy Replacement Spindles for Your Pickup Trucks
A pickup truck spindle is the machined end of the axle housing to which the wheel hub, bearings, and brakes are mounted. When it wears, bends, or cracks, the wheel loses proper support, and towing capacity and safety go with it.
Axle Spindle has manufactured pickup, cargo vans, and light-duty spindles for over 20 years, built to OEM dimensions so the repair restores full towing and payload capacity.
For a full walkthrough of measuring, cutting, and welding a new spindle, or simply understanding the different pickup spindle types, see our buyer’s guide to pickup truck spindles or browse by brand below.
Ford Pickup Truck Spindles
These spindles are recommended for Ford’s Dana M275 rear axle on the F-250, F-250 Super Duty, and F-550, and for the Dana 80 full-float axle on F-350 HD/E450 and F-350 Dually (DRW) trucks. Each spindle restores factory wheel-end geometry for commercial towing, heavy payloads, and hauling.

Frequently Asked Questions
What tools are needed for pickup truck spindle installation?
Welding on a rear pickup truck spindle takes a measuring tape and calipers to confirm flange-to-seal and axle tube dimensions, a cutting tool for a clean, full circular cut on the old spindle, a die grinder with a sanding disc to clean the axle tube bore, and welding equipment capable of a proper root pass, hot pass, and cover pass. Because this is a structural weld on a load-bearing part, it should be done by a qualified pickup spindle repair specialist. Watch our step-by-step pickup installation video for accurate fitment.
Are these pickup truck spindles compatible with 4×4 Trucks?
Yes, the rear axle spindle is the same part regardless of whether the truck is 2WD or 4×4, since the drivetrain difference is in the front axle and transfer case, not the rear axle housing. Match by axle type and compatible parts, not by drivetrain configuration.
Does the pickup truck spindle come with other hardware?
Our SKUs shown above include only the spindle. We do not sell the bearings, seals, or any other hardware for the pickup truck spindle.
Are your spindles compatible with single-rear-wheel (SRW) or dual-rear-wheel (DRW) trucks?
It varies by spindle; some fit both SRW and DRW setups, others are built for one configuration specifically. Check the product description for your exact spindle type before ordering to confirm SRW or DRW fitment.
